Tryptophan is a precurson to 5htp which is converted to serotonin and melotonin. These neurochemicals are part of the brain chemistry that helps us fall and stay asleep.

For some, using trypophan is the best solution. For others 5-HTP is the best choice and for some Melatonin is best. We often recommend experimenting with these products including mixing and matching to get your best results.

Generally speaking, typical dosages are:
  • Tryptophan - 500 to 1000 mg an hour a two before bed.
  • 5-HTP - 50 to 150 mg an hour or less before bed.
  • Melatonin - 1-4 mg right before bed.
