Lately there has been some discussion of the use of Lion’s Mane mushrooms as a nootropic (diverse group of medicinal substances which improve thinking, learning, and memory).

There are 3 main types of mushroom formulations available.

1. Least effective - biomass. This is where they simply grind up some mushrooms. (Paul Stamets Host Defense).

2. Hot water extract - good for some of the compounds.

3. Alcohol extract good for the rest of the compounds.
