(Herbal extract combined with essential oil)

TB-JNT is an antimicrobial herbal compound combined with Oregano essential oil for treating joint pain and headaches.

Andrographis (Andrographis paniculata)
This is a disinfectant herb with potent effects on various bacteria including spirochetes, viruses, and parasites. It also has some pain relieving and anti-inflammatory properties, including joints, the urinary tract, and skin rashes. Traditionally used in Asian medicine (Ayurvedic as well asChinese) for parasites, diarrhea and malaria, it is considered to also support liver function. Stud-ies have shown it to be effective in the treatment of hepatitis. It also protects the heart by pre-venting thromboses, or blood clots, and maintaining arterial flexibility. It can cross the blood- brain barrier to treat microbe infestations in the brain and nervous system. Because of these properties it also is useful for heart symptoms, joint symptoms, urinary tract discomfort, andbrain fog. In Western herbalism, it has also been used as an immune booster and in the treatmentof colds and flu. Andrographis also helps regulate blood sugar and can lower blood pressure.

Corydalis (Corydalis yanhusuo)
This herb has been used in traditional Chinese remedies to treat headaches, back pain, and other ailments for centuries. Olivier Civelli, a professor at the University of California, Irvine, and senior author of a study, stated in a press release. “We have pain medication for inflammatory

pain, such as aspirin or acetaminophen. We do not have good medications for chronic pain.”Using the chemical behavior of morphine as a template, the team set out to identify Corydalis compounds involved in established pain-relief processes. They found that dehydrocorybulbine (DHCB), an agent isolated from the root of the plant, had a positive effect on the three prima-ry types of human pain — acute, inflammatory, and chronic/neuropathic pain. “We landed on DHCB but rapidly found that it acts not through the morphine receptor but through other recep-tors, in particular one that binds dopamine,” Civelli explained.

Devil’s Claw

(Harpagophytum procumbens) Harpagophytum is used as an anti-inflammatory in rheumatic disorders especially in diabetic patients and those with cardiac abnormalities, tendinitis, sprains & arthritis. It has been shown to act as an analgesic in joint disease, back pain, and headache.
It is a mild COX-2 inhibitor, inhibits TXB2 release; it has antioxidant activity, clears free radi-cals, and suppresses enhanced production of metalloproteinases by inhibiting proinflammatory cytokines. Its ethnopharmacological uses include allergies, analgesia, arteriosclerosis, boils, skin injuries, ulcers and sores (topical), in childbirth, dysmenorrhea, edema, fever, GI disorders, headache and migraine, malaria, myalgia, neuralgia, tendinitis, and UTI.

Cat’s Claw (Uncaria tomentosa)
Cat’s Claw is a strong immune system modulator. It can increase NK cell activity, balance Th1 and Th2 cytokines, reduce inflammation, and increase the immune system’s ability to fight vi- ruses and bacteria. It has been shown to be anti-arthritic, and helps protect cartilage. The South American herb Cat’s Claw (Uncaria tomentosa) has gained a reputation as safe and effectivefor pain relief as well as disinfection in Lyme disease. In a 12-month clinical trial of 41 subjectswho were undergoing pharmaceutical treatment for rheumatoid arthritis, supplementing withCat’s Claw extract led to improvement in painful and swollen joints. This improvement in joint pain may help people suffering from disabling rheumatoid arthritis to regain the functional abil-ity to perform activities of daily living. Cat’s Claw is a rich source of phytochemicals: its more than 30 known constituents include at least 17 alkaloids, along with glycosides, tannins, flavo- noids, sterol fractions, and other compounds.

Oregano essential oil (Origanum vulgare)
One of its active components is carvacrol, which can be very effective in treating arthritis. It is anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antimutagenic, antigenotoxic, analgesic, antispasmodic, an-ti-inflammatory, angiogenic, antiparasitic, AChe inhibitory, anti-elastase, insecticidal, antihep-atotoxic, and has shown hepatoprotective activities gastrointestinal ailments. Oregano oil has also been found to destroy mycoplasma, which are a potential etiological factor in rheumatoidarthritis.
