LIPO Quercetin – Powdered Liposomal Quercetin 90 caps | Alive By Science

Highly concentrated 150mg Liposomal Quercetin per capsule

  • 90 capsules per bottle
  • 3rd party tested for purity and safety

LIPO Quercetin™ is a sustained-released liposomal delivery system that provides superior absorption of Quercetin in easy-to-swallow capsules.

Our process encapsulates and delivers Quercetin intracellularly in its complete form where it can be absorbed and utilized rather than being destroyed in the stomach.

Quercetin has unique biological properties that may improve mental and physical performance. Quercetin strengthens immunity and protects your cells from free radical chain reactions.

Quercetin encourages healthy nitric oxide levels, which helps maintain optimal blood pressure. This bioflavonoid has also been shown to bolster healthy cholesterol levels.

LIPO Quercetin™ offers advanced support for:

       ▸  Cardiovascular health

       ▸  Exercise performance

       ▸  A strengthened immune response

       ▸  Blood pressure regulation

What is Quercetin?
Quercetin is a plant pigment, known for its potent antioxidant, antihistamine and anti-inflammatory properties. Research has shown that it has an array of potential health benefits, from possible blood pressure reduction, blood sugar regulation, improvements in cholesterol levels, protection against degenerative neurological conditions often associated with aging, and allergy-symptom relief. It’s also been shown to support cellular energy production through mitochondrial biogenesis, or the production of new mitochondria.

Bioavailability
Despite its potential benefits, quercetin bioavailability is low. LIPO Quercetin™ is the ultimate solution with its sustained-released liposomal delivery system that provides superior absorption of Quercetin. Our powder-based liposomes made from natural phospholipid molecules protect the quercetin, improving bioavailability for targeted systemic delivery into the bloodstream, with a peak particle size of less than 50 nm (nanometers).

About Quercetin & Flavonoids
As a plant pigment, quercetin belongs to a group of plant compounds called flavonoids. Flavonoids are compounds commonly found in: vegetables, fruits, grains, tea and wine. Flavonoids are associated with a wide variety of health benefits, including: a reduced risk of heart disease, cancer and degenerative brain disorders. The potential health benefits are a result of their anti-inflammatory, anti-mutagenic, anti-oxidative and anti-carcinogenic properties. They are also known for modulating cellular enzyme functions. Potent Anti-Inflammatory and Anti-viral

Quercetin has the unique ability to act directly on cells as an anti-inflammatory agent and has properties demonstrated in vivo and in vitro consistent with protection against cardiovascular disease.  (Source)
“Quercetin has strong antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory, and antiviral properties" (Source)
Quercetin has been shown to reduce inflammatory pain via the inhibition of oxidative stress and cytokine production.  (Source)
One study published in the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition found that supplementing with quercetin helped lower levels of the inflammatory biomarker C-reactive protein (CRP).  (Source)
"Our findings showed a significant effect of quercetin supplementation on the C-reactive protein-especially at doses above 500 mg/day.”
Increasingly used as senolytic

"6- and 14-month D + Q cohorts show lower incidences of degeneration, and the treatment results in a significant decrease in senescence markers p16INK4a, p19ARF, and SASP molecules IL-6 and MMP13." (Source)
Absorption severely limited

The bioavailability of quercetin is extremely low and its absorption can be affected by macronutrients.  (Source).
Poor aqueous solubility, chemical instability, and low oral bioavailability significantly limits its applications.  (Source)
On its own, quercetin’s limited absorption inhibits it from penetrating the cell membrane into the interior of the cell.  (Source)
Under the Biopharmaceutics Classification System, Quercetin is classified as a class IV compound (low solubility, low permeability).
In addition, the bioavailability of quercetin can be affected by food.  (Source)

Liposomal Quercetin  can Increase Oral Absorption up to 20x

To overcome this limitation, scientists developed liposomal quercetin to investigate its distribution in vivo.
Quercetin-loaded liposomes are able to penetrate the cell membrane bilayer, allowing the pure quercetin to be effectively ushered into the gut for ease of absorption.  (Source)
"Quercetin in a delivery-food grade system with sunflower phospholipids increases its oral absorption up to 20-fold.”  (Source)

Liposomal Quercetin provides sustained release

In vitro release experiments showed that the release rate of liposomal quercetin is much slower than that of free quercetin, and achieves a sustained release effect and improves the medicinal value of quercetin.  (Source)

The chart above shows Liposomal Quercetin (Q-PEGL) was available in the plasma for 24 hours, vs 2 hours for standard Quercetin (FQ)
This is because Liposomes are composed of the same material as the cell membrane, so is not seen as a foriegn substance to be filtered out by the liver.
This study found Liposomal Quercetin greatly suppressed the growth of solid tumors in mice and was much more effective than non-liposomal quercetin.(Source)
Researchers believe the increased effectiveness was due to increased bioavailability to cells.
“Our data indicated that peglyated liposomal quercetin can significantly improve the solubility and bioavailability of quercetin and can be a potential application in the treatment of tumor.” (Source)

Liposomal Quercetin May Promote Immune Resilience

A 2021 study shows liposomal quercetin is an effective agent in combination with standard care, when used in early stage of viral infection. (Source)
