Toxic Element Clearance Profile - Urine

Toxic Element Clearance Profile - Urine
Toxic & Total Element Test - Measures urinary excretion of 20 toxic metals. This test should be implemented when only a focused evaluation of exposure to toxic metals is desired.

In addition to measuring classic elemental toxics, both profiles assess elements used in the medical, aerospace, nuclear, and high-tech electronic industries. Use of these potential toxins is increasing because of their growing commercial, industrial, and medical applications.

Heavy Metals
  • Aluminum
  • Antimony
  • Arsenic
  • Barium
  • Bismuth
  • Cadmium
  • Cesium
  • Gadolinium
  • Gallium
  • Lead
  • Mercury
  • Nickel
  • Niobium
  • Platinum
  • Rubidium
  • Thallium    Thorium
  • Tin
  • Tungsten
  • Uranium
  • Creatinine
Accumulations of these toxics can occur in the human body in response to occupational exposures or to environmental exposures from toxic release in air, soil, or industrial waste streams. Metal refining, alloying, plating, and part manufacture in the aerospace and machine tool industries, fabrication of nuclear reactor fuel assemblies, and especially electronics and computer manufacture are possible sources of exposure.

Evidence suggests that chronic toxic element exposure can adversely affect respiratory, renal, cardiac, hepatic and immune functions, compromise cognitive and emotional health, debilitate energy levels, impair neurologic development and function, trigger reproductive dysfunction, and increase the risk of cancer and other degenerative conditions.

Moreover, as time elapses, researchers are discovering detrimental health effects of toxic heavy metals at lower and lower exposure levels, raising the issue of whether any toxic element level in the body is safe.

How to Do Test
There are two forms of this testing. Standard and Provoked. The scientifically accepted way of doing the initial test is to do two tests, both standard and then provoked. This gives the most information on toxic and heavy metals in you system as well as what you are currently being exposed to.

Follow up test are done on only a provoked sample.

Protocols
  1. Standard - upon arising in the morning take a sample from first morning urine. Process and send.

  2. Provoked - We send you the provoking agent (DMSA).
    a. Wake up
    b. Pee
    c. Take the provoking agents - DMSA ( 1 capsule for every 10 pounds)
    d. Collect all urine for 6 hours
    e. Prepare and ship sample

  3. Both Standard and Provoked (you must order two test kits)
    a. Wake up and take the first sample.
    b. Take the provoking agents - DMSA ( 1 capsule for every 10 pounds)
    c. Collect all urine for 6 hours
    d. Prepare and ship sample
Preparation
  1. Do not eat any sea food for at least 3 days before test.
  2. Stop taking fish oil for 3 - 7 days
  3. Do not eat for 2 hours after taking DMSA & Glycine
  4. Drink plenty of water.
