Changes in mood and mental health have been associated with inflammation. NorLOX supports healthy brain function by inhibiting inflammation which triggers both the sympathetic and hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal stress response.

NorLOX contains acetyl-11-keto-beta-boswellic acid which is a potent inhibitor of 5-lipoxygenase (5-LOX), the enzyme responsible for the production of pro-inflammatory leukotrienes. Acetyl-11-keto-beta-boswellic acid also prevents TNF-± induced expression of matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) and upregulation of adhesion molecules, both of which are involved in the movement of leukocytes to the site of inflammation.

NorLOX also provides 5-HTP to support serotonin levels which can be reduced by pro-inflammatory cytokines. Acetyl-L-carnitine is included as a cognitive enhancer which acts by promoting mitochondrial health and modulating redox-dependent mechanisms which support neuron survival and longevity.
