The amino acid theanine has been widely studied for its ability to produce a calming effect and prevent over-stimulation. It has been postulated that theanine's effects are due to its ability to antagonize glutamate receptors, thereby dampening excessive excitatory neurotransmission. 5-HTP is included to support the production of serotonin.

Contains the amino acid theanine, which has been widely studied for its ability to provide a calming effect and prevent over-stimulation. These studies match observations by NeuroScience that theanine reduces PEA, norepinephrine, and epinephrine activity/turnover and urinary excretion.

EndoPlus also contains 5-HTP which will increase serotonin. Serotonin acts as a neuromodulator to enhance GABA function.
