For the last decade, we have been making observations and measurements on patients following various diets. We wanted to see how dietary habits and intake affect the outcome of a variety of case presentations including relatively minor functional complaints of fatigue and allergies, as well as disorders affecting quality of life like arthritis and asthma, to severe life-threatening diseases like cancer and heart disease. This fiber is excellent for diabetics due to its antioxidant abilities, and ability to lower glucose and insulin. One study supplementing a 100 g glucose load with 20 g acacia gum per day showed a reduction of 16% and 18% in average glucose levels and total glucose absorption respectively.
