Designs for Health’s Chromium Synergy™ offers the best chelated minerals sourced from the world’s leader in chelated mineral science, Albion Advanced Nutrition. The chromium in Chromium Synergy™ is fully chelated to glycine and nicotinate for enhanced absorption.
All the nutrients in this formula play different important roles in insulin function. It is in a base of cinnamon powder also known for its ability to assist blood sugar control. Ask for our two page flyer which includes an abstract comparing chromium picolinate to chromium nicotinate, showing enhanced absorption of chromium nicotinate.
Clinical Applications of Chromium Synergy:
- Blood sugar control 1 capsule with each meal and snack
- Lower cholesterol 1-2 capsules daily
- Diabetes Type II (Adult Onset) 2 capsules with breakfast and dinner, 1 capsule with lunch.
Will Chromium Synergy help balance my blood sugar?
Yes! It is critical that you supplement with Chromium Synergy in addition to making changes in your eating habits.
First and foremost, you must avoid consumption of refined non-fiberous carbohydrates such as sugar and bread. This will allow your body to naturally improve its blood sugar control. In addition, you need to add Chromium Synergy to give your body optimal amounts of the nutrients it needs to regulate blood sugar response.
Within the first week, you will notice less fatigue after meals, less irritability between meals, and better mental focus!
Are there any nutrients that help Chromium work more effectively?
Lipoic Acid, Zinc, magnesium, taurine, vitamin E, manganese, EPA, and flaxseed oil all increase the effectiveness of chromium.
Many ingredients are already found in Chromium Synergy! Diabetics and those with moderate to severe blood sugar issues should add Lipoic Acid to their supplement programs in the dose of 300mg per day.
Chromium works with insulin to help sugar from your blood enter the tissues and cells for energy. This mineral is so important in sugar tolerance that severe deficiencies of it cause a diabetes-like illness to develop.15
Chromium deficiency during pregnancy
Chromium deficiency during pregnancy may explain the diabetes that develops during pregnancy, also known as Preeclampsia. This deficiency coupled with insulin’s actions may also contribute to the rapid weight gain, fluid retention, and rise in blood pressure some women experience during pregnancy and afterward.
Chromium is used to help reduce atherosclerosis. Cultures with higher tissue levels of chromium appear to have lower incidences of atherosclerosis and heart disease.
