Calendula officinalis has a long history of medicinal use, and is highly respected for its external as well as internal applications. Research has shown Calendula officinalis to promote injury healing through its anti-inflammatory properties and by way of its ability to regenerate damaged skin. Studies have also reported its anti-edematous and antimicrobial actions, thereby making it valuable in the treatment of phlebitis, sprains and athlete's foot. Calendula Cream is indicated for superficial wounds, bruises, minor burns and sunburns, dry skin, acne, diaper rash and frostbites; for irritated nipples after breastfeeding; and for fissures, sore, ulcers and slow-healing wounds.
