Formula Rationale

AC-Q clears blockage in the channels. AC-Q is based on the Chinese patent formula Du Huo Luo Dan and Du Huo Sang Ji Sheng Tang, which is used for degenerative diseases that reduce mobility and strength. The formula is composed of aromatic herbs such as vladimiria souliei(mu xiang), aquilaria (chen xiang), frankincense (ru xiang), cloves (ding xiang), and borneol(bing pian) to promote circulation of Qi and blood. Aromatics contain terpenoid compounds useful against blocked circulation. Tonic herbs such as ginseng (ren shen), ho-shou-wu (he shou wu), tang kuei (dang gui), and loranthus (sang ji sheng) are included to treat restricted circulation in the lower body. In addition, herbs such as clematis (wei ling xian), siler (fang feng), chiang-huo (qinag huo), gastrodia (tian ma) and loranthus (sang ji sheng) dispel the pathogenic factors of wind, cold, and dampness, accumulation of which can cause blockage of the channels. Blue citrus (qing pi) and achyranthes (niu xi) promotes the movement of Qi and invigorates the blood, respectively.

Clinical Notes

1. Use for post stroke weakness, numbness, and pain.
2. Treats head injuries, facial paralysis and Bell's palsy.
3. Consider for wind-cold rheumatic conditions with cold and numb limbs.
4. Can use as injury formula: AC-Q contains herbs that clear the channels, move Qi and blood, and resolves phlegm swelling.
5. AC-Q external wash for pain and blocked circulation when no heat is present.

Additional Formulas
