Plant Enzymes provides a complete spectrum of plant-sourced enzymes, such as that found naturally occurring in fresh whole foods. This inclusive vegetarian digestive formula was crafted to supply amylase for digesting starches; cellulase to catalyze cellulose; glucoamylase for breaking down maltose into glucose; invertase to catalyze the hydrolysis of sucrose; lactase for the hydrolysis of lactose; lipase to catalyze the hydrolysis of fats; and protease for the proteolysis of proteins. Botanicals with tonic and carminative properties, such as marshmallow root, astragalus root and ginger rhizome, are included to ease digestive discomfort and to support the digestive process.
