Piceatannol Plus Suppositories - 30 Count | Zetpil-Rx
Piceatannol-3’-0-β-D-glucopyranoside, a potent component of stilbenes, has been shown to block the activity of arginase I and II, as well as stimulate making of Nitric Oxide from Arginine. As we get older, our blood vessel Arginine levels decrease and our Arginase levels I & II increase. This combination of higher than normal Arinase I & II and less than optimal amounts of Arginine is one of the fundamental reasons why individuals develop vascular dysfunction (aka hardening of the arteries). Conditions such as high blood pressure, blocked arteries, stroke, dementia, aging, erectile dysfunction and sickle cell disease can all be traced back to vascular dysfunction as a result of less than optimal Nitric Oxide formation.
Zetpil Piceatannol Plus when combined with Arginine Plus seems to be the most scientifically logical way to prevent vascular dysfunction and the conditions associated with this age-related problem.
Piceatannol (3,4,3',5'-tetrahydroxy-trans-stilbene) is a phenolic stilbenoid. Research shows the ability to exhibit anti-cancer, anti-hypercholesterolemia, anti-hypertriglyceridemia properties, as well as fight off and reverse cognitive decline. It is believed that the compound also has anti-diabetic properties, and has lowered blood glucose levels in rats by as much as 56 percent, while simultaneously raising insulin and hemoglobin levels to near normal levels.
Piceatannol is a metabolite of resveratrol found in red wine. LMP2A, a viral protein-tyrosine kinase implicated in leukemia, non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and other diseases associated with Epstein-Barr virus, were found to be blocked by picetannol in vitro. Therefore there is research interest in piceatannol as an anti-cancer and anti-EBV drug. Piceatannol potently inhibits an enzyme called cytochrome P450. Cytochromes are found within the cells of animals, plants, bacteria, and other microorganisms that transport electrons. They’re also a factor in people’s varying response to drugs and toxins entering their bodies. Cytochrome P450 enzymes activate a variety of compounds known as ”procarcinogens,” which can turn substances such as cigarette smoke and pesticides into carcinogens
