Tonifies Kidneys and Lungs, Assists Kidneys to Grasp Lung Qi, Clears Phlegm

This is a traditional formula for use during chronic phases of asthma when deficient conditions predominate. The medicinal substances here are formulated with great care regarding processing and proportion to make the formula effective for long term use to treat Lung Qi deficiency with the attendant wheezing and cough, Dampness, and Heat.

Gecko (Ge Jie) is the chief medicinal in the formula due to its effectiveness (not weight). Gecko is a powerful substance which enables the Kidney to grasp the Qi of the Lung thereby treating the root cause of many asthmatic and bronchial conditions.

Acting along with Gecko (Ge Jie), White Ginseng (Ren Shen) tonifies Qi while nourishing the fluids of the Lungs. The remaining herbs treat the more apparent branch symptomologies found in chronic asthma and bronchial problems, mainly Damp Phlegm, Heat and Lung dryness. Of particular note is Fritillaria bulb (Chuan Bai Mu) which clears Heat and moistens the Lung. It is specific for chronic conditions.
