Bos-Cur™ contains a highly concentrated extract of boswellia standardized at 70% boswellic acids with 10-15% AKBA which leading scientists believe is the active component of boswellia. Most boswellia extracts contain around 2% AKBA. The formula also includes a highly concentrated curcumin extract, CRX 791 (BCM-95®), which has been proven to be 8-10 times more concentrated and effective than curcumin 95%. This combination inhibits the enzyme 5-lipoxygenase (5-LOX) which can suppress the formation of leukotrienes of the 4-series which are inflammatory mediators that can induce allergic and inflammatory responses. The leukotrienes are involved in a variety of conditions and estimated to be associated with at least 60 different health disorders such as inflammatory disorders as well as upper respiratory function, stomach and intestinal tract function, joint structure and function and a host of other concerns.

Known by the common name of frankincense, resin from Boswellia serrata is an important part of the system of Ayuvedic medicine. Boswellia (Boswellia serrata)
A unique extract, clinically tested BosPure helps reduce the activity of the inflammatory enzyme, 5-LOX (lipoxygenase). A compound (beta boswellic acid) found in boswellia which interferes with its beneficial activity has been removed, greatly increasing the effectiveness of this extract.*1,2

Curcumin (Curcuma longa)
Curcumin, a compound found in the spice turmeric, inhibits multiple inflammation pathways in the body. It is also a potent antioxidant. However, curcumin is not well absorbed.
